Acai Bowl Recipe - Breakfast Criminals

Acai bowls comes from the beaches of Brazil and popularized by juice bars in Hawaii.

For a good reason: acai bowls are not only deliciously satisfying, but also packed with nutrients that keep you fueled for hours.

The best part is that you can make it completely your own – depending on what you have available.

Here is my go-to açaí recipe with perfectly smooth base and crunchy toppings.

Ingredients: 

  • 2 packs of frozen acai (be mindful of sugar in these – I usually use 1 unsweetened pack, and 1 sweetened with guarana) 
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries 
  • 1 TBS almond butter
  • 1 TBS cacao powder (optional)
  • 1 cup oat milk

Directions: 

Blend all ingredients until smooth, pour into a heart bowl and eat with love.

Toppings:

Cacao nibs, coconut shreds, fresh berries, bee pollen.
